From 29 June to 4 July 2026, the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Białystok hosted the 43rd Conference on Geometric Methods in Physics (42nd Workshop on Geometric Methods in Physics), which brought together 52 researchers from 18 countries and 5 continents, including 11 online participants.
The event provided a unique opportunity to present and discuss the latest research findings in the fields of classical and quantum field theory, non-commutative geometry, infinitely dimensional groups, quantum groups, Poisson and symplectic geometry, quantisation, Lie groupoids and algebrids, integrable systems, operator algebras and representation theory.
During the conference, participants had the opportunity to attend 43 lectures presenting the latest achievements and research trends in the aforementioned fields. The speakers included 26 representatives from overseas research centres and 17 representatives from domestic research centres. The conference was complemented by a poster session.

The conference was organised by the Department of Mathematical Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Białystok, chaired by Dr Alina Dobrogowska, Professor at the University of Białystok. Dr Tomasz Goliński served as scientific secretary, whilst the organising team also included Dr Aneta Sliżewska and Dr Tomasz Czyżycki. The Organising Committee was also supported by researchers from other institutions, including D. Fernandez (Mexico), Daniel Beltita (Bucharest), Gerald Goldin (New Brunswick), Piotr Kielanowski (Mexico) and Tudor Ratiu (Shanghai).

The lectures took place in the lecture theatre of the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Białystok, and the programme was divided into morning and afternoon sessions. In their free time, participants took part in accompanying events: a conference dinner, a bonfire and a guided tour of the Podlasie Museum of Folk Culture.
