XLIII Workshop on Geometric Methods in Physics will take place in Białystok from June 29 to July 4, 2026. The main organizer of the event is Dr. Alina Dobrogowska, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Białystok, together with her colleagues from the Department of Mathematical Physics in the Faculty of Mathematics.
Representatives of renowned research institutions from around the world are also involved in organizing the conference, including:
The conference focuses on topics at the intersection of mathematics and physics. Among the topics to be addressed are, among others, infinite-dimensional Lie groups and Lie algebras, integrable systems, noncommutative geometry, symplectic and Poissonian geometry, quantization, Lie groupoids and Lie algebroids, and representation theory.
For over a dozen years, the conference has been accompanied by a week-long research school, the School on Geometry and Physics, which will take place June 22–26, 2026. The event is aimed at young researchers, doctoral students, and senior undergraduates in mathematics and physics. The school provides participants with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge, establish international scientific contacts, and learn about the latest research trends at the intersection of mathematics and physics.
For years, the conference has attracted significant interest from the scientific community, bringing together approximately 80 participants from Poland and abroad each year. An important part of the program is also the opportunity for young researchers to present their research findings.
